ON KANYE WEST’S RANT ABOUT HIM AND DJ KHALED Zee: So realistically you wanted to go pop, but you were worried about alienating hip hop? Don’t you think you could’ve just said that you’re following up a rap record with a pop record? Or were you afraid of how it would be perceived after Meek’s “exposal”? Also, just to clarify, you’re not saying that hip hop doesn’t make you happy are you? You know I still listen to the bars and I know exactly where I was at and they are great to me, and they are time markers to me, but yeah, I guess we’ll get into ‘More Life’ after and how that situation progressed.

But obviously I know why I’m here, I know who my core fanbase is, and so towards the end of the album, I tried to execute it as best as I could, on the rap end.

Zee: That’s interesting to me because the perspective out there was that VIEWS had less hip hop because your pen was in question. So, I decided to ask an imaginary Drake the questions Semtex did not. And yet, I could not help feeling that the interview (like most celebrity interviews) was very scripted and that Semtex failed to ask Young Aubrey important follow up questions.
